Come climb Aconcagua with Natural High Alpine Adventures.
Our Aconcagua climbing expeditions are among the best in the world.
For 2008 Natural High is now offering a new route to the summit
of Aconcagua. We call it our Guancos Polish Falso route. This non-technical
route is an amazing and safer option for climbing Aconcagua. As
the Argentine Government has closed the lower Guanacos route until
further notice we have chosen to do a route that combines the Polish
Falso route with the upper Guanacos route. For the first two days
of the approach to base camp we follow the same route as the Guanacos
Valley route (the Vacas Valley) and then turn up the Relinchos Valley
and trek to our new fully equipped base camp at Plaza Argentina.
From Plaza Argentina we follow the same route as the False Polish
until camp 1. From camp 1 on the False Polish route we traverse
over to the more remote Guanacos route via a saddle between Ameghino
and Aconcagua. We then follow the less travelled Upper Guanacos
route and establish an extra camp on the way. By taking this route
and adding one camp it allows us a safer acclimatization program
than the False Polish Route and gives us a more remote, private
experience.
We begin and end our Aconcagua expeditions in the layed back city
of Mendoza where we can enjoy the local culture, cuisine and world
class wine of Argentina. Our accommodations are in one of the nicest
hotels in the heart of Mendoza.
As we climb Aconcagua we follow the best acclimatization schedule
on the mountain starting with a mule supported three-day trek to
basecamp. The expedition is highlighted with a long summit day as
we take our time to reach the summit safely. The views of the Andes
as the sun rises are astonishing! Finally we descend the normal
route of Aconcagua so we can experience basecamp life at Plaza de
Mulas. Here we'd love to treat you to a pizza and beer to celebrate
your climb of Aconcagua.
Aconcagua is a dream of many...let Natural High Alpine Adventures
help you achieve your dream.

The translation of the name Aconcagua is widely accepted as the
"Stone Sentinel". This great snow, ice and rock covered
mountain rises to an altitude of 6962 metres (22,841ft.) and is
the highest point in the western and southern hemispheres. It is
located in the Central Andes near the Argentine - Chilean border.
The beautiful landscape that surrounds the Stone Sentinel is graced
with stunning views of 5000 and 6000 metre Andean peaks.
